With other great restaurants in the property staffed with equally professional employees, we kept coming back to the same restaurant by the beach not just for the delicious food, but mostly because of their crew. The rest of the crew at that area was amazing and the chef provided delicious meals each time we dined. We were grateful to have been served by the super friendly Mateo and Luis at the Preferred Club diner by the beach. Secrets Maroma has the most hard working, pleasant, friendly, accommodating and memorable staff. Sea grass, but they try their best to maintain the beach front. Your turn down service is always spot on, multiple times a day they come clean your room. Expect the rooms at this resort to also blow most resorts out of the water. We booked a massage on the beach which I was also skeptical about but turn out to be another one of the favorite things we did all week.
SECRETS MAROMA BEACH PC
With PC you also get FREE access to the spas hydrotherapy which we had no idea about when booking our trip and was one of the favorite things we did. Not a day went by where we didn’t use the PC amenities for breakfast, drinks, night time or special dinners - like Rock Lobster.
The food in the PC in the beach bar was incredible and the service couldn’t be beat. When people say it’s not worth it or they didn’t notice it’s because they have no idea what they actually missed. Expect to be treated like royalty in the Preferred Club, it was one of the favorite parts of our trip and I would never recommend not doing Preferred Club at this property no matter what anyone says. The general atmosphere, resort property and layout, the spa, and food all exceeded expectations. Having been married in July of last year at a different 5 star Cancun resort that wasn’t secrets but rather Excellence, our expectations for our stay were incredibly high… we compared everything on this trip to our very positive experience from last year. We stayed at Secrets Maroma for 6 nights: June 27th - July 3rd. Overall, we had an amazing experience and it was a truly magical birthday for my girlfriend. The staff was great and got to know us by name.

The food experience was very good overall with our dinner on the beach being excellent. The only time we ate at the buffet was the morning we left due to our departure time. We had breakfast and lunch most days in the private beach club. The access to finger food & drinks in the Preferred Club lobby saved the day in that window between the end of lunch and the start of dinner. I’m glad I paid for the Preferred Club experience. The other trip was into Playa del Carmen for souvenirs etc. We left the resort twice, once for a day trip to Isla Mujeres, we had fun on the beach there since we were on the West side of the island (no seaweed). I added the Love Unlimited package, In Room Breakfast, The Couples Duo Spa experience with hydrotherapy, got her makeup done at the spa before our romantic dinner on the beach w/a beach bed to lounge on after dinner, had a private beach cabana w/concierge one day & shiatsu massage. I went for the upgrades to make it a special experience for her. I took my girlfriend to Secrets Maroma Beach for her birthday in late June.
